We’re sorry for the confusion! In most cases, what looks like a double charge is actually a temporary authorization hold placed by your bank or card issuer.
This usually happens when:
A payment attempt failed or timed out, and you tried again
The payment page was refreshed or submitted more than once
Your bank temporarily reserved the amount to verify the transaction
Please note:
AnimeBape only captures payment once per successful order.
Any duplicate or pending charges are typically automatically released by your bank within 3–10 business days, depending on their policy.
What should you do next?
Check whether one of the charges is marked as “Pending” or “Authorization” in your bank statement.
If only one order confirmation email was received, then only one payment was successfully completed.
If both charges are fully posted and not reversed after a few business days, please contact us at support@animebape.com with:
